Every time everything comes crashing down, you’re always there to catch me.

When I fall, you’re always there to get me back on my feet.

You give me everything I don’t deserve.

You’re a friend that I should value, something I tend to swerve.

When backs are turned and forever disappears in the sand, you stand beside me through it all.

You support and help me out when I need to put myself back together. You do all these things even though I can never get myself to change.

Every time I try to do what’s right, the past comes into light, but through it all, you always seem to understand.

I don’t deserve your help, your love, your trust, your loyalty, but still you give me all these things and more.

I always give you lies, contempt, and I’m indifferent to all the things you say that you abhor. I claim that I don’t have the time to give to you, when all I ever do is let time slip through my hands.

But through it all, you’re still here, through it all, you still care.

I try to push you away but without you i’m nothing. Without you i’m chasing after the wind.

It kills me to be torn between these things, because I know better than to lead astray.

Even if I try to live my life without your help, I will never be successful.

You are in everything. In the ocean’s waves, in the warm embrace, in the beauty we see, in the colors we feel. Without you i’m nothing, without you i’m incomplete.

You’re a friend that I should value, but my stubborn side just won’t let go.
