On February 16,2018 there was a  7.2 magnitude of an earthquake in Oaxaca on the south side of Mexico.

the quake started at 5:39 pm local time and during the time of the quake the buildings were moving back and forth for more than two minutes. It had left the citizens of Mexico frightened.

No deaths or injuries have been immediately reported but then a couple hours later 13 people were reported killed in the earthquake. Also there was reports that homes, businesses and the epicenter in Oaxaca state had been damaged.

In Mexico City there is early warning alarms that warned the citizens that an earthquake is coming. It also prepares them for the damage that is about to occur once the earthquake strikes.

Mexico is the only few countries that have a warning alarms that warns everyone about earthquakes. In California we are trying to fund a program that will help us get those warning alarms but with President Trumps budget there’s a chance that it can end the program.
