My name is Amy Wright, and this is my thirteenth year teaching. I am from Southern California but spent 14 years up in Portland, OR before moving back to the area. Though I loved Portland a lot, I didn’t love how much it rains there! I am loving the sunny, dry weather of Ventura County. I have a husband and four dogs–two “littles” and two “bigs.” I love to travel. I try to go to at least one new country every other year. So far, I’ve been to 15 countries outside of the US. My favorite ones are Nepal and Japan.

I also love to hike and find new places to eat. I have yet to find my favorite Mexican food in the area, but I love searching for it. I love producing and listening to podcasts about true crime.  Reading and writing are big passions of mine. I love reading anything by Toni Morrison or James Baldwin.
