So many people survive and die during these horrible experiences. It’s a normal situation for many people around the world. Here in California we are used to just small earthquakes. One earthquake that hit super close to Ventura County was the Northridge earthquake of 1994. Almost 60 died. It was a pretty big deal. Therefore, we need help preparing ourselves for any kind of destruction to happen. We need to be prepared and be as safe as possible and live with less worry of when we will get hit by another earthquake.
Recently, California was shaken by a 4.5 earthquake . All Californians quickly ran to social media and stated we had an earthquake. California will forever be shocked when we experience anything like an earthquake. It’s a very scary experience for many. The best and safest way to be prepared is to have a “bug-out -bag.” A bug-out-bag serves as a “I need to leave home right now!” or if you’re sheltering at home. The main things to have in your bag should be food, water, canned food, MREs, boxed meals. Other important things to have in your bag are: a portable stove, fuel, extra clothing, a blanket, cell phones, a solar portable charger and lastly, a first aid kit. It’s so sad to even have to think about being safe, or preparing for this but it is better to be safe than sorry.
