Ritz was invented on November 21, 1934. Ritz crackers were debuted by the company Nabisco. The recipe for Ritz Crackers took over a century to perfect, with the biscuit recipe of retired sea captain John Bent in 1801. The original ritz crackers were originally 19 cents a box.
Ritz Crackers are made with sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and partially hydrogenated oils. A single serving provides 80 calories, 0 grams of fat, 10 grams of carbohydrate, 1 gram of sugar and 1 gram of protein. There are about 35 crackers in one sleeve of Ritz they are sold individually by sleeves or in a group of 5 or 6 sleeves as well as fresh stacks sleeves packs that carry 13 crackers. They are even sold in mini cracker form.
