Koalas are one of many animals going extinct because of many causes. Koalas are estimated to live thirteen to eighteen years. There are less than one hundred thousand koalas left. Many koalas are losing their habitats. Humans are one of the main reasons koalas are going extinct, because they are destroying their habitat by cutting trees and making homes. Dogs sometimes kill koalas because they are quite vulnerable and are common prey. Eighty percent of the koala’s habit was recently lost due to the Amazon  Fire. Koalas were one of the most affected by the fire. Spending most of their lives up on trees. The recent fires killed many for many of the koalas.
