Who will be the MVP of the NFL

Cesar Rangel, contributor

There are multiple players in the NFL that deserved to be mentioned in the discussion of MVP. Lamar Jackson and Russell Wilson are the leaders of the MVP race with Deshaun Watson, Aaron Rodgers, and Christain McCaffrey right behind them. At the beginning of the year, everyone thought the MVP was going to be Patrick Mahomes, quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, who had won the award last year, but Lamar Jackson is having a breakout season. Last year he had only 5 passing touchdowns throughout the whole season, this year he had 5 touchdown passes in the first game. then there’s Russell Wilson, who is a phenomenal quarterback and has been one for the past 5 years. He is one of the players to lead his team to a winning season for the past 7 years. Wilson has 3,177 passing yards, averages 264 yards a game, thrown 26 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. Jackson has 2,532 passing yards, averages 211 yards a game, throwing 25 touchdowns, has 5 interceptions and almost has 1,000 rushing yards with 977. Both of these men lead their divisions with a 10-2 record.
