Coming out story

Throughout my childhood, I was a tomboy. I didn’t own Barbies nor did I host tea parties. Most of my time was spent outside running, playing basketball, riding bikes, similar things to that. In first grade, I had a crush on my best friend but she was a girl and I felt like that was wrong. Image result for rainbowDuring lunch, she and I would run around the track and do laps. We would do everything together but then my mom decided to move and that was the last time I ever saw her. All throughout my life I had struggled to find my identity and be true to myself. I always had low self-esteem. Then my 8th-grade year I decided to finally be true to myself and acknowledge that what I was feeling was exactly the right thing.

I had always been afraid of others knowing that I was attracted to women. I would compensate by always saying that I wanted a boyfriend. Even though that was something I really did not desire. I dated 6 different girls in a matter of weeks and months. After dating those girls, I met this girl and I settled down for 2 years. I did anything and everything for this girl. Finally, my mom ended up finding out and broke my phone and kicked me out of the house. She kicked me out because she was mad, but at the end of that week, she came and looked for me and said she was sorry. Every coming out story is different, but mine didn’t even feel like it was me coming out it was more of my mom finding out. My mom till this day is trying to accept me for who I am and she is trying really hard.
