Jesus Castellanos, Contributor

What are electric cars? Electric cars function with electricity. Electric cars differ from vehicles that use gasoline, not all-electric vehicles work the same way. There is not just one type of electric car, but there are six categories which are battery EV’s, plugging bird EVs, hybrid EVs, extended-Range EVs, neighborhood EVs, and non-road electric cars.
