Hueneme vs Granada Hills recap

The Hueneme Vikings went up against the Granada Hills Highlanders. The Vikings suffered defeated as the Highlanders got the non-conference win.  The Vikings went into the game with only 18 players while the Highlanders had approximately 99 players. Before the game began, the Highlanders walked onto the field in an extravagant fashion, a Band wearing kilts in a synchronized formation, and the football players in pairs, holding arms.  7:00 pm, the game started, the Highlanders kicked it off to the Vikings. The next couple of plays the Vikings scored on a pass play resulting in a 7-0 lead. There were 10 minutes left in the 1st quarter and the Highlanders took their time and scored with a pass play as well, with a minute left to spare.

There was a battle in the trenches with both Offensive lines and Defensive lines. Granada Hills had a run-heavy gameplan and Hueneme had more of a passing gameplan. After the halftime show, The second half began and the Granada Hills Highlanders scored three more times to leave the score 28-13. Throughout the game, both teams suffered losses, For Hueneme, they had lost their quarterback, two of their wide receivers, two offensive linemen. The Hueneme Vikings play Desert Highschool this Friday and Granada Hills Charter play Taft also this Friday.
