Caviar and truffles may get some people going,but when it comes to luxury that every one can understand, few foods have the appeal of a splurge-worthy piece of beef.

1. Wagyu Kobe steak

This piece of meat comes from Dallas, TX and costs about $144. A six-ounce Wagyu Kobe Steak Nobu’s kobe beef is priced by the ounce, with a six ounce minimum.

2. Kobe Strip Steak

This is twelve ounces of prime Japanese beef, prepared New York strip-style. The cattle are restricted from grazing so that they will not develop muscle, leading to extremely tender meat. This steak costs about $350.
