How to Remove Window Tint

Kevin Bazaldua, Contributor

IThe tools you will need are a blow drier, scraper or blade, windex, and a clean rag. The first thing you want to do is start to heat up the window with the blow drier so that the glue heats up and loosens up. Once the glue loosens up use the blade to lift off a corner of the window tint and pull the corner gently while heating up the parts that you are pulling off. You keep doing that process until you take off the whole sheet of tint.

Once you remove the tint you will have glue on the window so you spray windex on the window on the side that has the glue and you let it soak fo a minute. When the windex settles in you grab your blade and scrape the glue off while cleaning the blade with the rag so that the old glue don’t get back on to the window. Once you take off the glue you should be good to go if not continue on with the window and a scraper till you take off all the residue.
