Although they originated in Renaissance Italy, confetti-filled eggs have long been a popular part of Mexican Easter celebration. There, the eggs are traditionally broken over the head of a friend. But whether you choose to shatter them over someone’s head or display them in a decorative holiday basket, these colorful eggs are sure to be a memorable addition to a festival in Easter.

Materials that are needed are scissors, eggs, Easter-egg dye, sheet of paper for funnel, confetti, and glue. Step one is basically, first you make a hole at the larger end of the egg. Rinse the egg and use dye to color the egg-shell. Then fill the egg with confetti either bought or homemade. Finally glue around the hole and stick a piece of tissue paper so that the confetti doesn’t come off.
