Times and Dates:

Disneyland starts celebrating in November and decor stays up until the beginning of January! You can expect to see holiday decor at the park November 9th, 2018 through January 6th, 2019.

Disney Holiday Decor:

The entire park is beautifully decked out for the holiday season, but mainly on Main Street USA. You will be greeted by a massive 60 foot Christmas tree in Times Square and over 70,000 lights and 2,000 custom made ornaments.

Sleeping Beauty’s Castle:

Disneyland’s main attractions throughout this time of year is Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. Even during the rest of the year, the castle is spectacular and definitely the perfect place to take amazing pictures. Disneyland now offers a light ceremony at the castle which includes a brief “snow fall” of gingerbread scented snow every night.  You will now be able to see snow 3 times a day at the Disneyland Resort and will snow by Sleeping Beauty’s Castle during the castle lighting at 6:00PM-7:30PM. The snow will also be afterwards the fireworks celebration viewed on Main Street, near the castle, by Rivers of America, and It’s A Small World.

Disneyland Christmas Attractions:

Two classic rides here to try out for the holiday season are It’s a Small World and The Haunted Mansion. The Haunted Mansion is an entertaining overlay of the Disney film, The Nightmare before Christmas. It’s a Small World has about 250,000 lights that has been added to the outside of the ride and 30,000 to the inside. There are snowmen, icicles, and snowflakes in addition to the animation dolls singing “Deck the Halls” and “Jingle Bells”.

Disneyland Christmas Fireworks:

The famous “Believe… in Holiday Magic” fireworks return with special performances featuring incredible Disneyland Christmas music, stunning fireworks, and snow fall. The show is a combination of Disney music and Christmas classics

Disneyland Christmas Parade:

Enjoy  “A Christmas Fantasy Parade”, which takes place on Main Street and includes many of our favorite Disney characters as well as an appearance by Santa Claus himself. The Christmas parade times for the 2018 season begins at 3:30PM and ends at 6:00PM.

Meet Santa at Disneyland:

You can meet Santa Claus throughout the day at Critter Country. You can check the character app for available times.
