  1. Lake Nyos, Cameroon- A silent killer lurks in its surface of this West African lake. Magma deep below tend to leaks carbon dioxide into the lake above. Pressure 650 feet of water carbon dioxide stays dissolved.
  2. Miami, Florida-  Know for their natural disasters such as hurricanes. The U.S. Geological Survey estimates the southern tip of Florida can expect more than 60 hurricanes over a 100 year period.
  3. The Sahel region of AfricaDrought does not really get that much attention anymore such as other natural disasters but it has killed over 100,000 people in the Sahel region of Africa in 1972 to 1984.  Around 700,000 people couldn’t grow their crops this led to starvation
  4.  Java and Sumatra- These two islands face the most natural disasters than anywhere else. Droughts, Earthquakes, Landslides, Volcanoes, Tsunamis all threaten Indonesia. Their has been around 225,000 people that died through the 9.1 earthquake.
  5.  Guatemala-  Their has been triple threats  of natural disasters such as Earthquakes, Hurricanes and Mudslides. Guatemala lies on the Ring on Fire a active loop that encircles the Pacific Ocean. Thanks to the country’s mountainous terrain, landslides hampered transportation and rescue efforts.
