Caffeine is consumed on an everyday basis either in energy drinks and most commonly in coffee. There is long term effects to too much caffeine being consumed. 90% of Americans consume caffeine everyday in a form or another. It is better to not consume in excessive amounts to prevent the effects form long term from caffeine.

  • It’s best known to help you feel alert and able to work.
  • One cup of coffee can have around 100 mg of caffeine.
  • Except coffee shop coffee contains more caffeine up to 400 mg.
  • Soft drinks have 1,115 mg of caffeine.
  • Most energy drinks contain 69 mg up to 400 mg of caffeine.
  • It takes about 30-60 min. for the caffeine to fully kick in but really depends on the person also, how long you stay alert.
  • Caffeine prevents the dopamine from getting absorbed again as it affects the brain directly.
  • Long term effects on caffeine are insomnia, nervousness, stomach irritation, increased heart rate.
