1. How long have you been a counselor at HHS ?

Mrs. Martinez has been a counselor going on 5 years now.

2. What made you decide to be a counselor?

She decided to be a counselor after working in the field of mental health.

3. What’s your favorite part about this job?

Her favorite part about her job is getting resources for students in need and also love seeing students reach their goals .

4.  Are there any things you dislike about your job?

The only things Mrs. Martinez dislikes about her job is not being able not get out of her office at times because she’s so busy.

5. Do you enjoy anything about your job?

She enjoys her job all the time especially when students or staff members smile and say good morning.

6. What do you do on your days off?

On her days off she’s with her kids and most of the time she’s either at the beach, playing  basketball or traveling.

7. What did you do before working at HHS?

Before Mrs.Martinez started working at hueneme high school she used to work for a mental health grant for vcbh for 3 years.

8. What’s your favorite sport?

Her favorite sports are basketball, outrigging, and volleyball.

9. What’s your favorite animal?

Mrs. Martinez’s favorite animals are her dog and her horse.

10. What’s your favorite candy?

Her favorite candy are sour straws, and all things that are chocolate.
