Many people misinterpret the NJROTC Program, Its not to make you enlist in the military like most think, NJROTC is actually a leadership class using military principles and traditions to instill leadership, discipline, responsibility  and other skills that can help you in life.

The NJROTC program is ran by the cadets, with a cadet chain of command that is over seen by the NSI Chief Hayes U.S Navy Retired and the SNSI Lieutenant Commander Quiatchon U.S Navy Retired (Naval science instructor/  Senior naval science instructor), The Cadet C.O.C (chain of command) is in charge of most things such as organizing  events, Taking care of the unit making sure moral and spirits are up as well as enforcing discipline and so much more.

NJROTC has many events throughout the year such as the Christmas parade (as seen above), field meets, volunteering/ community service,  and everyone’s favorite Military Ball, Military Ball is in LA and all the JROTC’s in Southern California come to dance and have fun

All in all NJROTC is a fun and easy class, that will help you in the future with civilian life as well as the military, with Cadets who enter the military getting an automatic promotion if they spent 2 or more years in the program. and those who choose to stay a civilian getting things such as First aid training, CERT qualification as well as many leadership training opportunities and much more, to much to fit in this this small article, if you wish to learn more visit  the website at Hueneme HS NJROTC.com
