Toyota has confirmed that the supra will be returning next year and that you’ll be able to drive it before that. It’ll be available as a downloadable car for the Gran Turismo Sport videogame on the Playstation 4 this April. The Geneva Motor Show has unveiled the reborn of the Toyota GR Supra. The Supra was a mainstay of Toyota’s lineup from 1978 to 2002, when it went out of production.

The fourth-generation Supra has remained popular in video games despite being discontinued in 2002. The concept offers a first official if heavily looked at the reborn sports car which is being developed in partnership with BMW on a platform that will also underpin a new BMW Z4. The production version of the Supra will be powered by a BMW inline-6-cylinder engine. The engine configuration is a hallmark of the Supra and Toyota doesn’t have one available. Top Gear reports that it won’t be until next year’s Detroit Auto Show, but the rumor mill says it could show up as soon as the New York International Auto Show at the end of March.
