The 2018 Winter Olympics Was The Least Watched Olympics Ever

The 2018 Winter Olympics are officially the least watched Olympics on record. On average, 19.8 million people watched the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang and with final ratings, making it the least watched in history.

A 7% rating has dropped over the last four years but it was still the top rated program on T.V for more than two weeks. During the middle of the Olympics is when they had the most viewings which came to almost 17.5 million but in 2014 it was 20.0 million people watching. Of the average 19.8 million viewers, 17.8 million came from NBC.

The most watched Winter Olympics of the last 20 years were the 2002 games in Salt Lake City which averaged 31.9 million. Despite the decline, NBC still managed to top all their other competitors.
