Love Poem

Adam Galindo, Contributor

I love the soothing sound of your voice and every time we come into contact I rejoice.

Does not matter what others say, it’s just noise; we do what we want anyways

I bath in the memories of yesterday and fall deeper in love with the feeling of you.

Woe is me, weakened is my heart by the damage you caused it

you hold my heart and occasionally drop it

beaten and battered you throw it in the pit and drop the hammer.

Despite all of our tiny wars and battles in the pain of my heart

the love I have for you rattles as it tries to break free from the debris

nothing can contain my love for you

that’s how much you mean to me.
