- Let them know its okay if they don’t want to talk.
- Empower them in little things.
- Invite them out, even if they don’t want to go.
- Let them know it’s okay if they need time alone.
- Validate their feelings.
- Remember to take care of yourself.
- Give them plenty of time to recover.
- Keep focusing on the future.
- Ask them how they’d like to be helped.
- Be a resource.
- Encourage them to seek treatment.
- Don’t give up on them.
