Shaun White has made history in the Winter Olympics winning his third gold medal on snowboarding on the men’s half pipe. But, he has been overshadowed by a sexual misconduct that clouded his preparations leading up to the Pyeongchang Games. Shaun White’s victory has not gone without its controversy. His lawsuit was in 2016 by the female former drummer in his rock band Bad Things, Lena Zawaideh. She claimed that Shaun White “repeatedly sexually harassed her and forced his authoritarian management style on her for over seven years”.  The law suit that Ms. Zawaideh  filed on August 2016 where White was accused for sending sexual explicit and graphic images to Ms. Zawaideh and forced her to watch sexually disturbing videos, including videos sexualising human facial matter and made “vulgar sexual remarks to her”. Many U.S. media outlets highlight the previous lawsuit and question why White hasn’t been subjected questions while competing at the Winter Olympics.
