  1. SPACED REPETITION – By separating a big assignment into smaller pieces  of information, your brain can focus and constantly review small information rather than trying to learn the whole subject at once.
  2. SWITCH IT UP –  Study a bunch of different types of subjects and not just one for hours. By switching it up, your brain actually has to think about different strategies.
  3. TEST YOURSELF – By quizzing yourself you can test your brain for the real thing. The harder it is to remember a piece of information the more likely you’ll remember it in the future.
  4. WRITE IT OUT – Studies show that if you write it out by hand rather than typing it your more likely to remember the subject. You can best remember it by rewriting the most important notes on a new sheet of paper.
  5. TREAT YOURSELF – You can help beat procrastination by rewarding yourself at the end of a section or chapter. By eating a snack or going on your phone for a few minutes can help motivate you to finish your work.
