Today I asked one of the most hard working teachers here in Hueneme to answer a few questions about our school and some other questions you might want to know. This is Mr. Pablo Gallegos 

1.What do you like most about Hueneme?

” I love working with the students and teachers. They are the best in the 805!”

2. What’s your favorite, Track or Cross Country?

“Oooh, that’s a good one. I love both I love them equally, but if I had to choose, it would be Cross Country because I love the Fall and the team aspect; for Track I love the fight. “

3. How do you find time between Coaching, Teaching and being an Athletic Director?

“It’s hard to find time but when I get home I turn off my cellphone to unplug the rest of the world. “

4.Favorite Food and why ?

” Toppers Pizza; it’s been my favorite since I was a teenager. “

5.Do you enjoy teaching freshmen?

” I love teaching freshmen. I love welcoming them to our school .” 

6.What is your advice for seniors?

“Try new things. Talk to people. Enjoy every moment because it goes by quick! “

7.What do you miss about College?

“I miss the friendship I developed most with my teammates.”

8.What made you want to become a teacher ?

“I sincerely love and have a passion for working with my old neighborhood because I was born and raised in South Oxnard. “

9.How do you find time to relax?

“I have to make time for myself, set different parts of the day and focus on myself, friends and family “

10.Are their any other subjects you’d like to teach besides Geography?

“Health. I’d like to collaborate with Ms. Lovejoy and Ms. Soliz . Two of the best and most respected teachers”
