Hello! My name is Ximena Alvarez. I am 17 years old and am currently a senior at Hueneme High School. I have lived in Oxnard my entire life and come from a family of 5 where I am the middle child. I have two sisters and I absolutely love spending time with them. We are basically attached to the hip despite our age gaps. I like to stay in touch with my roots by assimilating cultural influences into my everyday life, whether it be through music or fashion choices. I have also been fortunate enough to visit Mexico countless of times throughout my life and have grown to love it. The culture truly enriches my personality and I enjoy participating in our family customs. The other part of my life is consumed in true crime — if I am not listening to music, I am indulging in true crime podcasts or watching documentaries, especially while doing homework. My favorite creators in this community are Stephanie Soo and Bailey Sarian. True crime has also opened the door to a personal interest in psychology. This upcoming year I will be attending a 4-year university in California and majoring in Psychology; I currently have hopes of becoming a Child Psychologist!
