My name is Evelyn Martinez. I am a junior at Hueneme High school. I have a pretty big family but the people I live with are My mother, father, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers, 2 of my older sisters are in college I don’t really get to see them and 3 of my older brothers are also in college. I was born in Ventura. My family is from Michoacan, México, and León Guanajuato, I love traveling over there but I have also been to Utah, and Arizona. One of my talents is being flexible. At home, I have pets who I love. We have two dogs, and three cats who are also part of the family. I love Mexican food and I enjoy it more when I eat it with my favorite people who would be my parents, siblings, boyfriend, and friends. They mean a lot to me because they are always pushing me to do good and never give up which makes me a strong person. I don’t watch a lot of TVs but when I do I enjoy watching Disney movies and horror movies. I would say I’m more of a music person. Some articles I listen to would be Sam smith, Ariana grande, The neighborhood, Why don’t we, and  Taylor. Some of my accomplishments are being part of and Winning the CIF playoffs as a Freshman for our school’s girls’ soccer team. Another one would be getting to be part of Banners. I have gotten a lot of amazing opportunities that have changed my life for the better. I have a mindset that is always thinking of ways to improve with School, Sports, and as a person, during my free time I work out, practice my soccer skills, get homework done, read a book and even write to get better at it.  I have a short bucket list but something I hope I get to do is travel to New York, get a good education, and be able to help others.  As I grow up and continue on I hope I can become a police officer. I love helping others and since I was 8 years old  I’ve always talked about wanting to be a good police officer. In the “Writing for Publication” class I look forward to learning new things.
