Memories On Officer Martin
March 4, 2020
- He was a caring, lovely person. I remember when my mom passed away 10 years ago he was by my side through it all. He had also bought my family food. It’s crazy how anything can happen at any time. The last text I send him right after school was “be safe”. he will be truly missed. Hueneme High Staff
- The impact he left the school was his willingness to help at any time. even if his shift was over he was still available. Every time there was something wrong at the campus he was there at all times. he cared about everyone in this school. he would help any students in need or with any of their situations.

- I appreciate all those times he helped me with any of my situations even if he had to put whatever he was doing aside. Every time I would go into his office he would offer me a Dr.Pepper from his cooler. I can’t forget about the times you would always tell me to get to class in time and to stay out of trouble. I never imagined they would take you away from us too soon. Sending healing prayers and comforting hugs from our family to yours.

- It’s wild that I had just walked by you towards the end of the day and we both smiled at each other. You and your charismatic energy made a difference to everyone on campus. You were taken too soon. I and my family’ s thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. ONCE A VIKING ALWAYS A VIKING !!

- Officer Martin, It hurt when I heard the news, you went so early, you were a great person with a great heart. You did so much for the city and our school. You’ll forever be known here at Hueneme High. You will be remembered as a loyal individual. You always motivated every student. My first day here at Hueneme High you made me feel very welcomed. You walked me through the halls and told me ” I hope I can see you walk the line in a few years, I want you to be known as a great student, don’t let me see you in the office because you’re in trouble.” Every time I would be in trouble I would always remember your word. You would motivate me and still motivate me. Thank you for always pushing me to do better when you saw me failing. Rest In Paradise Nathan Martin.

- For someone to be an officer and a campus supervisor as well takes a lot of people but officer Martin was always seen smiling to bright a student or staff’s day. My favorite and special moments from officer Martin came when I would be sent to the office because he would always know I was truthful and I had the courage to be a one-man army while everyone else is against you. He wouldn’t have to say much to keep me out of troubled situations. One word, I remember him saying is ” cmon” every time he said that it was like both of us connected and he was automatically in my conscience and he has none more chance to see Officer Martin I would hug him so tight and would let him know he changed a troubled kid into a humble strong man. Officer Martin was one of those people where I saw him as an international idol that people could learn from. He was like my favorite musician Tupac because anything they said about life I always took it into consideration and made it into my lifestyle. I’ll continue your legacy to make peace and bright every human being like you’ll want me to. We love and miss you dearly Gone But Never Forgotten! Rest In Heaven Nathan Martin.
