I personally didn’t know Officer Martin well, but I saw him around campus making sure that everyone was safe and  I knew the kind of impact he had on the students in school. Many students know that as well as the teachers and supervisors.

One student said, ” Thank you for making school feel safe, making me feel safe, Thank you for being our school officer”.

Another student said, ” I didn’t know him that much but we would always say hi to each other. It made my day and I know it made his because people don’t really say hi to cops, usually around here.”

Another person said, “He was a cool dude, I always saw him walking around campus. He was always nice to other students, never seemed mad and made campus feel safe.”

One teacher said, ” After the Parkland shootings, Officer Martin went to different classes reassuring kids that he was there to protect them and if they had any questions to ask him.”

Another teacher said,” When people were breaking to classrooms including mine, he came to make sure that everything was fine, also there was a time when kids were tagging in my classroom, he came again to see what was going on. He always had a smile on his face. I never saw him in a bad mood, and he was always here making the campus feel safe.”

Officer Martin will be missed by all of the Viking Familia.
