Water polo is a sport played in the water between two teams. This sport has 4 quarters and each team tries to score some goals by throwing the ball into the opposite team’s goal. It’s played in a deep pool, which means the players cannot touch the bottom of the pool. Each team plays with 7 players in the pool. Water polo is popular in many countries around the world especially Europe. The game is divided with 4 quarters and each quarter is 8 minutes long and the time is stopped when the ball is not in play so the quarters last about 12 minutes each. Each team can hold the ball for a maximum of 30 seconds before shooting for the goal.
