Kimberly Barajas, Contributor

Alsheimer’s is a brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills. Eventually, it will make you forget about your daily routine and carry out the simplest task. The symptoms for a disease first appear during their mid-60s.  The disease is named after Dr. Alois Alzheimer who noticed changes in the brain tissue of a woman who had died of an unusual mental illness.

Symptoms:

  • Memory loss
  • Challenges on solving problems
  • Confusion with time or place
  • Trouble understanding visual images
  • Misplacing things and losing track
