The giant panda is known as panda bear or simply panda and is a bear native to south-central China. It is easily recognized by the large and distinctive black patches around its eyes. The name “giant panda” is sometimes used to distinguish it from the distantly related red panda.

They can live up to 20 years and the  Adult female Pandas weigh between 150-220 lbs. They are herbivores and are 2-3 ft. About 2,000 pandas are found in the wild and 99% of a panda’s diet consists of bamboo. The giant panda is actually a bear.
