Due to the Santa Ana winds and power cuts, the game between Hueneme and Fillmore had been moved to Saturday where Fillmore would be hosting Hueneme. Both teams were ready to battle, the game kicked off at 7:00 pm. Hueneme started off the game with the ball but they were stopped short by the Fillmore defense. Throughout the whole game, Hueneme didn’t score one single point. The Fillmore Flashes wanted it more than the Hueneme Vikings.

The offensive and defensive lines were outstanding compared to the secondary, well at least one of them. The Fillmore secondary was unstoppable, they scored multiple interceptions and touchdowns. Hueneme, on the other hand, was struggling to find an answer on both sides of the ball. They fumbled twice, once in the end zone and another 10 yards away from it. Hueneme as a whole still had a fight inside of them, but it was some of the other players that hung their heads and acted as if the game was over. This game showed that sometimes mistakes can lead you to failure. Fillmore missed blocks but not as much as Hueneme. It was more of the skill players known as the receivers, running backs, and quarterbacks. Fillmore ended up winning the game at 38-0. Hueneme will face the Santa Paula Cardinals in a league game next week.
