Red Pandas

The red panda is dwarfed by the black and white giant that shares it’s name. These pandas typically grow to the size of a house cat, though their big, bushy tails add an additional 18 inches.

In the chilly mountain heights, these pandas wrapped their tails around them like a blanket. Red pandas live in the mountain  of Nepal and northern Myanmar, as well as in central China. Red pandas have a taste for bamboo, but also eat many others food as well as fruits, acorns, roots, and eggs.

They are shy and solitary except when mating. Females give birth an the spring and summer. Young red pandas stay in their nests for about 90 days.
