This past week, the most recent movie created by Marvel Studios, Avengers: Endgame, shattered records with an unexpected worldwide debut of $1.209 billion. This is the first film in history to surpass $1 billion in its opening weekend. The film also set domestic and international records, earning an estimated $350 million domestically and $859 million internationally.

One of the main reasons as to why Avengers: Endgame shattered records was because of China. This film dominated in China securing a whopping $330.5 million, making it number one once again. As it stands, Endgame is set to break the record for the all time box-office record. The film currently sits in on the 18th place of all time box-office sales but with the astonishing opening weekend that it had, it would be truly a surprise if Endgame didn’t surpass every other movie and become the number one movie of all time.
