Since 2009 Fisher Price’s Rock ‘n Play Sleeper has been responsible for 32 infant deaths when unbuckled from their seat belt, resulting the 3-6 month old babies to roll over and suffocate within the caved in rocking sleeper. Within that age, a babies expected milestone is to learn how to roll over from back to belly but won’t learn how to roll back onto their back until a few months later, making Fisher Price’s safety guidelines for the product life threatening.
The safety guideline states that the little one can use the sleeper up until 5 months and due to this controversy, people claim that Fisher Price must make changes and change it to 3 months of age or when the child knows how to roll over. People believe that the product should be banned and highly advise parents to completely avoid this item. Fisher Price’s Rock ‘n’ Play Sleeper is banned in Canada but still available in the U.S.
