What is Honey?

Honey is one of the most populated sweetness known all over the world, it was brought to the market in the 16th century. You can use it for tea, slide it over a peace of bread, make delicious recipes but how is honey really made and why can’t humans make it on there own. In order to have honey you first need the power of the bee’s, honey’s first station comes from the sweet nectar in flowers in which bee’s extract.Image result for nectarGoogle

One way Bee’s have to get to the nectar is by using there long tongue which is 7 mm long (1/4 inch). The tongue sucks in the nectar and stores it in its core which is his extra stomach which he uses to carry the nectar, as the nectar is inside the core it mixes with enzymes that bring down its pH which will later be bring its density down from a liquid state to a semi solid liquid.

As bee’s return to the colony they build a hexagon in which is made of bee’s wax which can also be eaten. Furthermore honey bee’s do something that can sound gross, but honey pass on the nectar between each other until the substance is right and sharing the chemical between them it transforms into honey. After this they put the honey on there build hexagon comb to store it and it never decomposes so it can be saved for winters to come, the honey as it evaporates by the wings of the honey to evaporate all the water from the honey it hardens, then bee’s use here wax to seal off the pot, which blocks water and air from coming in
