Facts About Crested Geckos

Here are some facts about Crested Geckos:

 

1. Crested Geckos have a nickname ‘eyelashes’ because the small ridges above their eyes.

2. Their tail helps them grab on to branches and vines. All geckos come in different colors and pattern morphs that is what makes them unique.

3. These geckos have very small hairs on the bottom of their toes that helps them grab on to surfaces even glass.

4. Crested Geckos don’t have eyelids so they lick their eyes to keep them moist.

5. They come from New Caledonia, and also from an island off the coast of Australia.

6. Their life span is from 15-20 years or more if taken proper care of.

7. It might seem weird but Crested geckos make chirping like noises when they fell uncomfortable and they also make ‘barking’ noises when they are stressed.

8. Crested Geckos can get scared easily and most of the cases happens that their tail falls off and they become tailless.
