My Experience with my First Job
March 8, 2019
My first job and my current job is working at the Oxnard airport.
So far I’ve been working there for about 1 month and its been a fun experience as much as it has been a cool job. While I’ve been working there I’ve learned a lot of new stuff like how to fuel a jet, how to read a plane license and hot to clean off exhaust fluids off planes. I’m pretty sure its a way better job than serving people their food and flipping burgers. The only thing that does suck is that I have to go right after school and usually some parents at Hueneme like to wait for their kids in the middle of the road and cause traffic.
The after school traffic does slow me down when I don’t leave once the bell rings. I’ve learned what streets to take so I can arrive to my job on time. Another cool thing is that I get to drive the same golf carts as the ones they have here at Huneme. It’s a pretty cool job overall, cool people, not too boring. Plus since I work as a part of the fuel department I don’t do too much labors work. In conclusion it’s a fun job that has been great so far.
