What is Talk Therapy and How Does It Help?
March 14, 2019
First off, talk therapy is also known as psychotherapy, and anyone can benefit from it. Contrary to popular belief, though, it’s not just talking about problems you’re facing, but also how to either deal with or solve those problems. It helps you understand any possible mental health conditions you may have, set up and reach life goals, overcome any fear or insecurities, cope with life issues, along with a lot of other stuff.
There are also several different types of therapy such as cognitive behavior therapy, dialectal behavior therapy, interpersonal therapy, and family focused therapy.
Therapy sessions can last anywhere from 30 to 50 minutes long, and it can be a short-term or long-term thing.
