I am pretty sure everyone and their mothers have heard of this game by now.  Fortnite created in July 25, 2017 by a company call Epic Games. Battle Royale mode was released as free to play on September 26, 2017. The video game really didn’t gain that much attraction till the beginning of 2018. People began to see the different play style of this game from other battle royale’s. With the ability to build in a player-versus-player battle royale game with up to 100 players fighting to be the last person standing for the victory royale. This video game is open to all consoles anywhere from PC to even a Nintendo Switch.

Weaponless players airdrop from a “Battle Bus” that crosses the game’s map. When they land, they must scavenge for weapons, items, and resources while trying to stay alive and attack other players. Over the course of a round, the safe area of the map shrinks down in size due to an incoming storm; players outside that safe area take damage and can be killed. This forces remaining players into tighter spaces and encourages player encounters. The last player, duo, or squad alive is the winner. In all modes, players use a pickaxe to knock down existing structures on the map to collect basic resources such as wood, brick, and also metal. Being a free to play game Epic Game put in a in game currency to gain money off the game. Players spend real money to purchase “v-bucks” these v-bucks are used to buy skins and cool ascetics in the game. Epic games has racked up stacks of money just this April they brought in $296 million. Off a free to play video game!
