With OUHSD’s out break started on Monday when around 12:30 am they sent out notices that there will no school the following day November 13th and later on that same day around 4:30 pm OUHSD sited that there will be school in session that day that the air has “cleared up”. Parents and students at Oxnard area high schools were upset that the school district didn’t cancel classes Tuesday after heavy smoke from the Woolsey Fire enveloped the area, leaving students to go to class wearing masks in smoke filled classrooms. Fox 11 got a hold of the story and decided to make a story about it on their live broadcast.  Students from Channel Island High school participated to help put OUHSD on blast for their recent rational decisions.
