In 1992, Tunick began documenting live nudes in public locations in New York through video and photographs. His early works from this period focus more on a single nude individual or small groups of nudes. In 1994 Tunicks first photograph was with 28 nude people in front of the in midtown Manhattan, as a turning point in his career. Spencer began to get the publicity he deserved on his work. And over the course of these past years Spencer Tunick has over 600 very different nude photographs. Some of Spencer’s latest photos he has taken on July 9, 2016, where he photographed 3,200 people wearing only blue paint, in Kingston upon Hull, UK. Recently, he did another photo shoot on July 2018, where he photographed almost 500 men and women draped in just sheer red cloths on top of a wool smiths supermarket building in Melbourne, Australia. You might be asking where does he get all the volunteers to be in his work. Spencer has his own web site where you can sign up to participate in future installations near you, and to find out about upcoming exhibitions and events Tunick is having. And you can also look though all of his work that he has created over the past years.
