3 facts about the vegan lifestyle!!

Have you ever thought about adopting the vegan lifestyle? If so, here are some facts:

1) Converting to veganism can help you shed extra pounds!

I can vouch for this fact, I’ve lost <15 pounds since converting and I feel great. Although it varies from person to person, you will eventually see a difference! Exercising and food intake also plays a role in losing weight. Overall, going vegan can help obesity.

2) A vegan diet may protect against certain cancers and diseases.

About one-third of all cancers can be prevented in your control, including your diet (According to the World Health Organization). Eating legumes regularly can lower your risk of colorectal cancer by 9-18%. Vegan products are generally made out of soy, regular soy intake can help lower your risk of breast cancer. Non-animal produced products lower your risk of colon and prostate cancer.

3) Your lack of meat and dairy consumption means less animals die.

This fact is debatable, some animal farmers treat their livestock fair while others do not. For the livestock treated poorly, they are often sick, have little to no wiggle room, and die from employee abuse. The last sentence applies to the majority of the livestock industry, but different animals suffer differently.
