The new 2019 Chevy Silverado will come with a 2.7-liter turbo 4 cylinder engine. The engine will make 310 horsepower and 348 lbs of torque. If you compare it to the V8 Silverado five years ago, the numbers are impressive. The new 2.7-liter 4 cylinder offers 348-lbs of torque from 1500 to 4000 rpm and it has much more usable rev range. It will do 0-60 in about 7 seconds, that is much faster than the 2013 model! The 2019 Silverado will be 380-lbs lighter then the 4.3 V6 Silverado. Chevy will offer the 2.7-liter turbo as standard on two trims, the high-volume LT and RST models. Chevy also has a new diesel for the Silverado 1500, a 3.0-liter turbo inline-six.
