Mrs. Lewis is a Spanish teacher here on campus and a very loved one. Many enjoy her class because she is very humble and sweet. I got to the opportunity to interview her and get to know her a bit more.

1. What inspired you to be a teacher?

“I enjoy working with the youth, truly I didn’t even know I was going to become a teacher I just landed the job.”

2. Do you have any advice for graduting seniors this year?

“I have always encouraged students to study abroad and get out of their comfort zone.”

3. What is a random thing about you that no one knows?

“Well that’s a hard one ” she said as she laughed. “I’m actually learning how to speak Portuguese.”

4. What is your favorite color and why?

“Currently, I love the color Turquoise or Teal because they are both very pretty.” 

5. What do you enjoy doing on your free time?

“I spend my free time with my kids and my husband, although I don’t have free time.”

6. Why did you decide to teach Spanish?

“I love everything about the Spanish culture, especially the food, music, and just the warm feeling about Mexico.”

7. What is your favorite food and why?

” MEXCIAN FOOD! Oh my goodness it’s the best.”

8. How do you spend your summer breaks?

” I actually go lake fishing with my family, it’s really fun.”

9. If you won the lottery and decided to stop teaching, what would you do instead?

” Honestly, I would not stop teaching. I enjoy being with my students and making a difference in their lives.” 

10. What is your dream vacation?

” My dream vacation will have to be Argentina, I just love it and would love a long trip up there.”
