Who inspired you to get into teaching and why did you decide to teach at Hueneme High School?

Warren Ellis.  He is a good friend who is also a coach.  We were both coaching and we would just talk about being educators.  Hueneme High School is one of those schools that once you have taught here, you will probably stay here the rest of your carer.  I love the students and the culture here!

If you can be a CEO in your own company, what would your company be about & why?

It would be something where I can help as many people as I can.  I enjoy young people and watching them be successful.

Do you have any advice for graduating seniors this year?

Appreciate your journey.  Don’t compare yourself to anyone else.  Your journey is YOUR journey. Appreciate those you love and tell them as much as you can.

If you can change anything from Hueneme High School, what would it be & why?

I would somehow like to instill in all our student’s minds that they can be successful.  They can go to college if that is what they want to do.  They can open a business, whatever. they want.   That the student can do ANYTHING!

What are some of your favorite hobbies & why?

  I do Triathlons, running events, camping, hiking.

If you could change your name to anything, what would you change it to & why ?

I like my name.  My mom gave it to me and I am going to keep it……..

What would be your dream place to retire & why ?

I would love to live in a beachfront shack with a palapa and a hammock out front.

If you could meet your favorite celebrity, who would it be & why ?

I am not into the celebrity thing.  But if I had to choose one I would choose Morgan Freeman.  I would love to just sit and have an open conversation about life.

Whats the craziest / most interesting thing you’ve done ? Why did you do it?

There are to many to list but they were all fun.

Whats a random fact about you that no one else knows ?

I am tough on the exterior,  but will do anything for those I care about and I am very emotional at times.
