NBA Conference Finals

The playoffs are almost coming to an end and the four best teams have now made it to the Conference finals. In the Eastern Conference finals the Cavaliers and the Celtics will be facing off, and in the West the Warriors and the Rockets will battle it out. The odds for the Celtics to pass are very little but their young team has surprised everyone and I wouldn’t doubt it if they do it again.

The Houston Rockets were the best team in the regular season ending with a record of 65-17. They now face the Warriors a team who has dominated the NBA for the last three years. This might change this year if the Rockets continue to play like how they have continued to play this postseason. Chris Paul, James Harden, and Clint Capela have been amazing for them this postseason. Chris Paul will have to be a key factor if they want to have a chance at beating the Warriors. Clint Capela will have to continue to to dominate the boards and the paint like how he has done it against the Timberwolves and the Jazz. James Harden just needs to keep playing like how he has done it all year and they will have the upper hand on the Warriors.

The Warriors aren’t afraid of anything and can play very well when they don’t have one of their most important players. Stephen Curry was out for the first round and they were able to defeat the Spurs with no problem. Now that they have all players available their team is looking very good and Kevin Durant has been playing like we have never seen him play before. They come in as the favorites in my opinion because they were the champions from last year and they still have the same team that won last year. They will face the Houston Rockets which have made a really good statement throughout the year but no one knows how good they will perform when they play against the Warriors.

The Celtics are a young team but their talent is very good. Their young players are playing like veterans and the guys who have been in the league for a while have also been holding their ground like the way they’re suppose to do. In their first two match ups they have showed that  they are not afraid to move the ball and attack the rim. They are now facing the Cavaliers for the second in two years at the Conference Finals and it will be a series that will bring only excitement to the NBA community. Although Kyrie Irving won’t be playing against Lebron James in this series because of injuries it will still be a very good series to watch. The Celtics will need help from everyone in order to pull the win against the Cavaliers because Lebron will do anything in his power just to pass to the finals.

Cavaliers are the favorites to win the Eastern Conference Finals but that will come down to who can step up for them besides Lebron James. James will be able to perform the way he has done every night but someone else like Kevin Love will have to be the one to back him up. They are not facing an easy opponent, their nemesis are the Boston Celtics a team with great defense and a team that will hurt you if you slip. The Cavaliers have everything going their way right now, Kevin Love is playing outstanding basketball and Lebron is playing better than ever before. If they keep this up they might have a really good chance at advancing to the NBA Finals.
