As we all know Ford is working on a new Shelby GT500. In January Ford confirmed the return for the most powerful Mustang ever the GT500. The Shelby GT500 will arrive next year according to Ford and is expect to launch in January 2019 at the Detroit Auto Show. This Shelby GT500 is set to have a 2019 debut but this often means that a car with a 2019 debut will be a 2020 model-year. This Shelby GT500 is Ford’s answer to the 650-hp Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and the 707-hp Dodge Challenger Hellcat so you might think it will be getting a supercharged V8 there was also a rumored about a twin-turbo V8. The GT500 might be good for 200 mph flat out or 200+ mph. the GT500 will likely have two transmission options. Buyers can chose from a six speed manual transmission or the new 10 speed auto transmission that was developed between Ford and GM. The GT500 might look more similar to the GT350 than the new pre face-lift Mustangs. This Mustang will put ford up there with Chevy and Dodge in the high-horsepower class.
