The last model of the Nissan 240sx was in 1999. The 240sx was introduced to North America markets by Nissan in 1988 for the following model year. In the U.S., there were only two generations on the 240sx. In Japan, there were only two versions of the 240sx, the s15 Silvia and the 180sx. In Europe, they marketed the 200sx. Their names are similar to the 240sx, but is unrelated to the 240z or the 280zx. Even though it was out of production it was still really popular in video games and in the drifting community. It was popular because of its s-chassis in drifting competitions. Prices for parts on the 240sx skyrocketed because it was known as drift tax.
